| In the mountains forming the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala the main income of the population is tea and spice cultivation. India, with on annuel production of some 800,000 tans, is the biggest tea prodocer in the world. The most extended cultvation regions are to be found in the north of the country. (Darjeeling). Well - know South - Indian spice are pepper (living on bushes as crepers) and cardamon. | ||
